Terms and Conditions (Terms)

1. These terms and conditions govern the participation in this Canon Advantage Chance to Win Competition (Competition). Information and instructions on how to participate form part of these Terms.

2. Participation in this Competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms.

3. By communicating this Promotion to Participants (as defined in clause 6 below), photo specialty retailers in Australia and New Zealand who are registered in the Canon Advantage Training Portal (Portal) (Retail Partners) agree to be bound by these Terms, and to ensure that Participants are bound by these Terms.

4. This Competition starts at 9:00am AEST on 1 May 2025 and ends at 5:00pm AEST on 30 June 2025 (Competition Period).

5. Participants consent to receiving marketing communications and information from Promoter regarding the latest offers and promotions for Canon products and services. Participants may opt out of communications at any time.

Eligibility
6. This Competition is only open to individual Australian and New Zealand residents who:

a. are employees or contractors engaged in a sales, customer service or retail management role in a Retail Partner;
b. have received a link from the Promoter to the Portal; and
c. have successfully enrolled as a Participant on the Portal, (Participants).

7. Participants who are under the age of 18 must have the written consent of their parent or legal guardian to enter this Competition.

How to Enter
8. From 1 May 2025, the Promoter will announce this Competition through promotional materials displayed at the Retail Partner’s in-store location, and a video on the Portal.

9. To enter this Competition, Participants must (during the Competition Period) (Entry):

a. complete the PowerShot V1 Training Plan and the EOS R50 V Training Plan on the Portal (each a Training Plan); and
b. achieve a score of 100% on the quiz at the end of each Training Plan.

10. Only one Entry is permitted per person.

Judging
11. This Competition is a game of chance, and the first two (2) valid Entries drawn at random will win a Prize (as defined in clause 13 below) (Winners).

12. The draw will take place at 3:00pm AEST on 7 July 2025 at the head office of the Promoter at Building A, The Park Estate, 5 Talavera Road, Macquarie Park NSW 2113, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.

Prize
13. There are 2 x Canon EOS R50 V cameras to be won (each valued at AUD RRP$1499) (each a Prize).

Claiming the Prize
14. The Promoter will notify the Winners in writing of the result of the draw within seven (7) days of the draw.

15. The Winners must provide their correct names, email and delivery addresses to the Promoter in writing to claim their Prize.

16. The Promoter will (at its election) either post the Prize to each Winner via registered post, or the Promoter’s local field representative will deliver them to the Winner in person.

17. If posted, the Promoter will send a tracking number to the Winner within 14 business days, and the Winner agrees to acknowledge delivery of the Prize by signing an acknowledgement of receipt.

18. The Promoter has no control of and is not responsible for any delays or issues arising from the use of any postal carrier.

19. The names of the Winners will be given to the Retail Partner’s head office. Each Winner consents to the Retail Partner and Promoter publishing their name in an announcement on the Promoter’s ‘Canon Advantage Channel’ located in the Portal within 30 days of the Winners being drawn.

20. If a Winner:
a. does not, within fourteen (14) days of being drawn, claim their Prize according to the instructions specified in the Promoter’s email (including by not providing a correct delivery address for the Prize to be delivered to); or
b. cannot provide suitable proof as to eligibility or compliance with these Terms, they will forfeit the Prize in its entirety and the Promoter will choose an alternate Winner at random via a draw from the rest of the Entries at their sole discretion.

21. If a Winner forfeits the Prize, a secondary draw may take place at 3:00pm AEST on 20 July 2025 at the head office of the Promoter at The Park Estate, 5 Talavera Road, Macquarie Park NSW 2113, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.

22. No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for any Entry that is late, lost or misdirected, or if a Prize Winner does not claim their Prize in accordance with these Terms.

Participant’s Warranties and Indemnity
23. The Promoter is not liable for any costs and claims in connection with a failure by itself to comply with these Terms.

24. Each Participant agrees that they are fully responsible for each Entry they submit. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes any liability, or any costs borne by the Participant in submitting their Entry.

25. This Competition is in no way endorsed, sponsored or affiliated with Myagi Software. The Promoter is not liable for any costs and claims arising in connection with a failure by Myagi Software service provider to comply with these Terms, or otherwise arising in connection with this Competition.

26. Participants agree the Prize may be regarded as benefits in-kind and be liable to taxes, including fringe benefits tax. Participants and their employer are liable for all such taxes. The Promoter recommends Participants and the Retail Partner obtain independent tax advice in this regard.

27. By accepting these Terms, the Participants confirm they have reviewed and accepted the policies, terms and conditions of Myagi software.

Conditions that may Invalidate Entries, Participants or the Competition
28. The Promoter reserves the right to reject, disqualify, remove, or moderate any Entry that it determines, in its sole discretion, does not fit the criteria set out in these Terms.

29. If this Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated by the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to:

a. to disqualify any Participant; or
b. modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the Competition as appropriate.

30. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Participant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Competition or to be acting in violation of these Terms.

31. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

Privacy
32. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct this Competition. The Promoter may, for the purpose of conducting this Competition, disclose such information to third parties, including agents, contractors, service providers, suppliers and, as required, to regulatory agencies. Participation is conditional on providing this information.

33. Information about Participants may be published as set out in these Terms. Personal information collected by the Promoter will be managed in accordance with its Privacy Policy (www.canon.com.au/privacy-policy).

Liability
34. Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude, or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (Non-Excludable Guarantees).

35. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of this Competition including (but not limited to) out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any Entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; ( d) any tax liability incurred by a Participant; or (e) use of the Gift.

General
36. These Terms may change, and the Promoter will inform Participants of any changes as soon as reasonably possible.

37. The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the timeframes specified in these Terms are met, but Participants accept that time frames may vary due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control, including but not limited to postal delays or delays in bank processing.

38. All money amounts in these Terms are in Australian Dollars inclusive of GST.

39. If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be severed from these Terms and the remaining Terms will remain in full force and effect.

40. These Terms are governed by the laws in New South Wales. All Participants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of New South Wales.

Terms and Conditions (Terms)

1. These terms and conditions govern the participation in this Canon Advantage Limited Edition T-Shirt Offer (Promotion). Information and instructions on how to participate form part of these Terms.

2. Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms.

3. By communicating this Promotion to Participants (as defined in clause 6 below), photo specialty retailers in Australia and New Zealand who are registered in the Canon Advantage Training Portal (Portal) (Retail Partners) agree to be bound by these Terms, and to ensure that Participants are bound by these Terms.

How to Enter

9. To enter this Promotion (Entry) and win the Gift (as defined in clause 11 below), a Participant must complete the PowerShot V1 and EOS R50 V training plans in the Portal during the Promotion Period (Winner).

10. Only one Entry is permitted per person.

Gift
11. Each Winner will receive a free limited-edition PowerShot V1 t-shirt valued at AUD RRP$49.95 (Gift).

12. The Gifts are limited to 1,500 for Australian Winners, and 300 for New Zealand Winners.

Claiming a Gift
13. The Promoter will (at its election) either post or hand deliver the Gift to each Winner.

14. Winners will receive written confirmation of their win from the Promoter by 13 July 2025. To claim their Gift, each Winner must respond to the Promoter within the time requested in the written confirmation and provide their correct name, email and delivery address.

15. If the Gift is posted, the Promoter will send a tracking number to the relevant Winner within fourteen (14) business days.

16. The Winner agrees to acknowledge delivery of the Gift by signing an acknowledgement of receipt.

17. The Promoter has no control of and is not responsible for any delays or issues arising from posting the Gifts or from late or incorrect information being provided by the Winner.

18. If the Winner cannot provide suitable proof as to eligibility or compliance with these Terms, they will forfeit the Gift in its entirety.

19. No responsibility is accepted for any entry that is late, lost or misdirected, or if a Winner does not claim their Gift in accordance with these Terms.
