Canon Creator Quest Competition (FRMEFEST 2025)

Terms and Conditions (Terms)
1. These terms and conditions govern the participation in this Canon Creator Quest Competition (Competition). Information and instructions on how to participate form part of these Terms.

2. Participation in the Competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms.

3. This Competition starts at 9:00am AEST on 19 July 2025 and ends at 5:00pm AEST on 20 July 2025 (Competition Period).

Eligibility
4. This Competition is only open to individuals who:
a. are valid ticket holders attending the FRMEFEST event at Carriageworks in Sydney (FRMEFEST Event) during the Competition Period; and
b. are not employees, contractors, volunteers, or otherwise associated with the organisation or delivery of FRMEFEST, including but not limited to event staff, Canon employees, and affiliated partners.

5. Participants under the age of 18 must have written consent from their parent or legal guardian to enter this Competition.

How to Enter
6. On 19 July 2025, the Promoter will announce the Competition through promotional materials displayed on Canon’s social media channels, and via the channels of Canon’s mentors from The Circle Oceania.

7. To enter the Competition (Entry), Participants must collect a Canon Expo(sure) ID booklet (Booklet) which will be available either on entry to the FRMEFEST Event or at the Canon Brand Experience activation, and complete the following tasks during the Competition Period:
a. visit the Canon Pod Lab;
b. visit the Canon Cinematic Corner;
c. visit the Canon Brand Experience activation; and
d. obtain a unique stamp in their Booklet at each location from a Canon representative.

8. Once all three stamps have been collected, Participants must return to the Canon Brand Experience activation to:
a. obtain an entry validation stamp on their Booklet; and
b. complete and submit the application form, including providing all mandatory details requested, (together, an Entry).

9. Participants may submit a maximum of one Entry per day during the Competition Period.

10. An Entry may be completed over the course of the Competition Period. For example, Participants can collect 2 stamps on the first day, and collect the remaining stamps on the second day of the Competition Period.

11. By submitting an Entry, Participants consent to receiving marketing communications and promotional information from the Promoter regarding Canon products, services, and offers. Participants may opt out of these communications at any time.

Bonus Entry (Optional)
12. Participants with a valid Entry may submit an optional bonus entry by completing the following tasks during the Competition Period:
a. scan the Easter Egg QR code located at the Canon Brand Experience activation;
b. follow the prompts from that QR code to capture and post content on Instagram using the hashtag #CanonEasterEgg; and
c. show the post to Canon staff at the Canon Brand Experience activation upon validating their booklet to receive the bonus stamp, (together, the Bonus Entry).

13. Participants who submit an Entry may also submit a maximum of one Bonus Entry per day to this Competition.

Judging
14. This Competition is a game of chance and the Promoter will select the winners via a random draw. The first 2 valid Entries drawn will win a Prize (Winners).

15. Winners will be drawn at 5.30pm AEST on 20 July 2025 at the FRMEFEST Event, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.

16. The Promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. No responsibility is accepted for any Entry that is late, lost or misdirected, or if a Winner does not claim their Prize in accordance with these Terms.

Prizes
18. The Winners will each receive a Canon Powershot V1 valued at $1,449 RRP (Prize).

19. The total Prize pool is valued at $2,898 RRP.

Claiming the Prize
20. Canon will announce the Winners during the FRMEFEST Awards Ceremony on 20 July 2025 at the FRMEFEST Event, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.

21. If the Winners are at the FRMEFEST Event at that time, they may claim the Prize at the Awards Ceremony. If the Winners are not present on site, they will be notified in writing via email from Canon to the email address provided on their Entry form submission by 25 July 2025.

22. Winners must follow the instructions in Canon’s email on how to claim their Prize, including providing a valid address in Australia for their Prize to be delivered to.

Prize Processing:
23. Canon will send the Prize to the delivery address provided by the Winner via registered Australia Post.

24. Canon will send a tracking number to each Winner within 14 business days of sending the Prize, and the Winner agrees to acknowledge delivery of the Prize by signing an acknowledgement of receipt.

25. Canon has no control of and is not responsible for any delays or issues arising from the use of Australia Post.

26. If the Winner:
a. does not, within 14 days of being notified by Canon that they have won a Prize, claim their Prize according to the Canon Creator Quest Competition (FRMEFEST 2025) © Canon Australia Pty Ltd | Canon Creator Quest Competition FRMEFEST 2025 2 of 2 instructions specified in the Canon’s email (including by not providing a correct email address or valid delivery address for the Prize to be delivered to by the stated due date); or
b. cannot provide suitable proof as to eligibility or compliance with these Terms, they will forfeit the Prize in its entirety and the Promoter will choose an alternate Winner via a random draw from the rest of the Entries at their sole discretion.

27. The Prize or any unused portion of a Prize is not exchangeable for cash or goods and is not transferrable. The Promoter will not compensate the Winner in any way for a Prize that has not been claimed within the time limits and in accordance with the instructions given to the Winner.

Participant’s Warranties and Indemnity
28. The Promoter is not liable for any costs and claims in connection with a failure by itself to comply with these Terms.

29. Each Participant agrees that they are fully responsible for each Entry they submit. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes any liability and any costs borne by the Participant in submitting their Entry.

30. This Competition is in no way endorsed, sponsored or affiliated with FRMEFEST Group Pty Ltd. The Promoter is not liable for any costs and claims arising in connection with a failure by FRMEFEST Group Pty Ltd to comply with these Terms, or otherwise arising in connection with this Competition.

Conditions that may Invalidate Entries, Participants or the Competition
31. The Promoter reserves the right to reject, disqualify, remove, or moderate any Entry that it determines, in its sole discretion, does not fit the criteria set out in these Terms.

32. If this Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated by the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to:
a. to disqualify any Participant; or
b. modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the Competition as appropriate.

33. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Participant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Competition or to be acting in violation of these Terms.

34. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

Privacy
35. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct this Competition. The Promoter may, for the purpose of conducting this Competition, disclose such information to third parties, including agents, contractors, service providers, suppliers and, as required, to regulatory agencies. Participation is conditional on providing this information.

36. Information about Participants may be published as set out in these Terms. Personal information collected by the Promoter will be managed in accordance with its Privacy Policy (www.canon.com.au/privacy-policy).

Liability
37. Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude, or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (Non-Excludable Guarantees).

38. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of this Competition including (but not limited to) out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any Entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; or (d) any tax liability incurred by a Participant.

General
39. These Terms may change, and the Promoter will inform Participants of any changes as soon as reasonably possible.

40. The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the timeframes specified in these Terms are met, but Participants accept that time frames may vary due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control, including but not limited to postal delays or delays in bank processing.

41. All money amounts in these Terms are in Australian Dollars inclusive of GST.

42. If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be severed from these Terms and the remaining Terms will remain in full force and effect.

43. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales. All Participants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of New South Wales.
