Work in Evolution

A new report has identified an untapped opportunity for improved workplace productivity and performance, along with worrying levels of employee concern over conditions for productivity and creativity, the provision of workplace technology and workplace trust.

The report, titled ’Work in Evolution’ and commissioned by Canon, examines Australia’s wider business landscape through a survey of 300 employers and 1,010 employees from businesses with more than 20 employees.

The intent was to determine whether workplaces are embracing modern practices, processes and technologies. Effie Fox, Director, HR & Communications, Canon Oceania said the findings demonstrate that Australian businesses typically have a way to go to catch up to the expectations of employees – but, pleasingly, that most are willing to embrace the changes required, which is often the first step.
