The Processing/Data Indicator Remains Lit

Issue


The Processing/Data indicator remains lit.

Cause and solution


The Processing/Data indicator lights when any job is being processed. If the indicator remains lit for a long time and any message is displayed on the display, check the following.

MessageRemedy
Received in memory.Print or forward received documents in memory.

Load paper, if no paper is in the paper drawer or stack bypass tray.

Set the correct paper.See "If the Message Appears."
Remove the jammed paper from XXX.See the following:

"If the Message Appears"

"If the Message Appears"

"If the Message Appears"

"If the Message Appears"

"If the Paper Jam Message Does Not Disappear"

*XXX stands for the location of the paper jam.
Replace the toner cartridge. (XXX)See the following:

"If the Message Appears while Copying or Printing"

"If the Message Appears while Receiving a Fax"

*(XXX) stands for a color of the toner cartridge.
When the problem is solved, the document is printed and the Processing/Data indicator goes off.
If the indicator still remains lit even after checking the messages above, delete or cancel jobs using (Status Monitor/Cancel). For instructions, see "Checking and Deleting Documents in Memory."
*You cannot restore jobs once you deleted.
