Detail

Firmware Version 1.0.3.1.00 incorporates the following enhancements.
1. Support for the color matrix function has been added.
2. Support for the color correction function has been added.
3. The following features are enabled for these lenses:
For CN-E18-80mm T4.4 L IS KAS S or CN-E70-200mm T4.4 L IS KAS S when "NU Protocol" is selected:
- Focus position control
- Zoom position control
Menu Pathway: [Other Functions] > [REMOTE B Term.] > [NU Protocol]
*In some cases, the firmware of these lenses needs to be updated in order to enable these enhancements.
Contact your Canon dealer for details.


- For further information, please refer to the latest version of the unit's Instruction Manual that is released with the firmware update.



Caution:
- Firmware Version 1.0.3.1.00 is for ME200S-SH cameras with Firmware Version 1.0.0.1.00 – 1.0.2.1.00. If your camera's firmware is already Version 1.0.3.1.00, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Once the camera is updated to the latest version, it cannot be restored to a previous version.



Preparations for the Firmware Update:
- After the firmware update has been performed, the date/time settings and the camera's menu settings will be reset. Please configure the date/time settings and the camera's menu settings to their pre-update values after the firmware update is complete.

- The downloaded folder contains the firmware (file name: VMC3.FIM / file size: 22,872,092 bytes), and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in four languages: English, French, Spanish and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully confirm your understanding of these instructions.



The following things are required to perform this firmware update:
1. A ME200S-SH Multipurpose Camera
2. A computer (OS: Mac OS 10.7 - 10.14)
3. A microSD / microSDHC / microSDXC card (all commercially available)
4. A microSD card reader/writer (commercially available)
5. External power supply (commercially available)
6. The firmware (the downloaded file)



History:
Changes in Firmware Version 1.0.2.1.00:
1. The following features are enabled for the CN-E70-200mm T4.4 L IS KAS S:
- Autofocus using the Dual Pixel CMOS AF function.
- Displaying the model name of the lens when attached.
- Support for Peripheral illumination correction.
- Manual control of the iris with camera's joystick.
- Control of focus, zoom and iris using the separately-sold Remote Controller RC-V100.
- Automatic aperture and push auto iris functions.
- Start/stop recording on the separately-sold lens grip ZSG-C10.
2. Adds Peripheral Illumination Correction for the following lenses:
- EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM
- EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM
- EF-S 35mm f/2.8 Macro IS STM
- EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM
3. Adds [NU protocol] to the other functions setting:
- [Other Functions] > [REMOTE B Term.] > [NU Protocol]
4. When the camera is turned off the IS mechanical lock will be active regardless of the position of the switch.


Changes in Firmware Version 1.0.1.1.00:
1. Three camera modes have been added:
- Tv: Shutter speed is selectable. Iris, Gain and ND Filter* are set automatically.
- Av: Iris is selectable. Shutter speed, Gain and ND Filter* are set automatically.
- AGC: Shutter speed and Iris are selectable. Gain and ND Filter* are set automatically.
*ND Filter also can be set manually.
2. Adds Peripheral Illumination Correction for the following lenses:
- EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM
- EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM
- EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM
3. Adds chroma-key correction menu function.
4. Adds three white balance modes when the camera is set to Auto: White balance Set, Preset, and Color temperature.
5. Adds 25PsF on output format.
6. Adds [59.94P(i)]* and [50.00P(i)]* output setting for Monitor terminal.
- When the frame rate is set to 59.94P (NTSC) or 50.00P (PAL), the 3G/HD-SDI 1 / MONITOR terminal can be set to output interlaced signal.
* When using this setting 3G/HD-SDI 2 will output progressive signal.
