What memory cards have been verified to work with this camera? (EOS 5D Mark III)

This camera is compatible with CF (CompactFlash) and SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards.

However, not all memory cards have been verified to work with the camera.

Verified CF (CompactFlash) memory cards

The following CF memory cards have been verified to work with the camera for shooting or playing back still images or movies (as of March 2012).

Caution

This information does not guarantee all memory card operations.  
When shooting movies, use a large-capacity card with a fast writing/reading speed.

IPB: 10MB/sec. or faster

ALL-I (I-only): 30MB/sec. or faster

If you use a slow card when shooting movies, the movie might not be recorded properly. Also, if you playback movies on a card having a slow read/write speed, movie might not playback properly.
If you want to shoot still photos while shooting a movie, you will need an even faster card.
The above table lists verified CF cards by their product names in Japan.

Caution

UDMA (Ultra DMA) and UDMA7 CF cards can also be used with the camera.
UDMA/ UDMA7 compatible CF cards enable faster data writing.
The camera cannot use Type II CF cards or hard disk cards.

Caution

This camera does not comply with the UHS (Ultra-High-Speed) speed class standard.

If a UHS-I card is used, the writing speed will be the same as a SD speed class 10 card.
