Issue

If you need some help in using Print from E-mail, try the procedures given below.

Cause and solution

[ Troubles in registering your printer ]

Clean the platen of the scanner and light source of the Film Adapter Unit, while taking care not to press the platen heavily.

Cause and solution

When you attempt to print the authentication URL and PIN code for registration of the printer, "Cannot connect to the server" is displayed on the printer operation panel.

The message will be displayed if the server performs other processes.

Wait for about 30 minutes, and try printing the authentication URL and PIN code again.

When you enter the PIN code, "The invitation URL has expired." is displayed.

1. The entered URL may be wrong.

Check and enter the URL again. The URL is case-sensitive.

2. Login timeout (the login should be within 25 minutes).

You need to perform the registration again. Print the authentication URL and PIN code from the printer.

"PIN code is incorrect." is displayed in entering the PIN code, or "User’s e-mail address or password is incorrect." is displayed in entering the password.

The entered PIN code or password may be wrong.

Check and enter the PIN code or password again. They are case-sensitive.

Cause and solution

Did not receive email that contained the URL needed to complete the registration.

1. The received mail may be automatically sorted in a box other than the inbox.

Check the boxes other than the inbox.

2. The mailer may be set to reject certain mails.

If you set your mailer to receive mails only from the specified domain(s) and reject the other mails, set the mailer to receive mails from info@mp.c-ij.com.

Then, perform the registration again. After waiting for 30 minutes, print the authentication URL and PIN code from the printer.

3. The mail address you entered may be wrong (in this case, the mail will be sent to that wrong address).

You need to perform the registration again. Wait for 30 minutes, then print the authentication URL and PIN code from the printer.

Don’t know the temporary password to complete the registration.

The temporary password will not be reissued.

You need to perform the registration again. Print the authentication URL and PIN code from the printer.

[ Troubles in printing ]

1. Depending on the environment, it will take time before the printing starts.

2. The file attached to the mail may not be supported in Print from E-mail.

Check if the file format, the number of files, and the total size of files are supported.

3. The mail address for printing may be wrong.

Check that the mail is sent to the correct address.

If you are not sure of the correct mail address, see "Don’t know the address for printing."

4. The sender’s mail address may not be registered.

Log in to the login URL (https://pr.mp.c-ij.com/po). In [Member Settings] -⋗ [Add], enter the applicable mail address and select [Register].

Check the draft box to see if the mail is left there.

Don’t know the address for printing.

Check the address for printing in either of the following ways:

a) Operation panel of the printer

Select [Web service ] -⋗ [Web service setup] -⋗ [Cloud settings] -⋗ [Print from E-mail setup] -⋗ [Check address for printing]. The address for printing is displayed.

b) Login URL

Log in to https://pr.mp.c-ij.com/po, and check the address for printing in [Printer List].

Want to change the address for printing.

Log in to the login URL (https://pr.mp.c-ij.com/po). In [Printer Settings], change the address for printing.

Cause and solution

Want to know the status of printing.

Log in to the login URL (https://pr.mp.c-ij.com/po). In [Portal Site], you will see if it is being printed or in the print queue waiting to be printed.

Cause and solution

The time shown in the logged-in pages differs from the actual time.

The appropriate time zone may not be selected.

Log in to the login URL (https://pr.mp.c-ij.com/po). In [User Information], select the appropriate time zone.

If you do not know what time zone should be selected, refer to Help in the login page.

Cause and solution

A file attached to an e-mail from Windows Live Mail is not printed.

If images are attached to a Windows Live Mail in the Album format, they will not be printed.

Use other ways of attaching the images, or attach one image to one mail and send them one by one.

Cause and solution

A file attached to an e-mail from iOS Mail is not printed.

If an image file is attached to a mail using [Insert Photo or Video], it will not be printed.

In iOS Mail, copy and paste an image file to your mail.

Cause and solution

If you can not print after the printer is repaired.

When the printer is repaired, all of the registered information is deleted and Print from E-mail can no longer be used.

If you want to use this service again, you must re-register the printer and the printer owner.

If you registered a user who is not the owner, go through the registration process again.
