Canon HEVC Activator (Canon EOS R5 C) is an application to allow handling of the EOS R5 C’s HDR processing on Digital Photo Professional.
It is also used to enable the EOS VR Utility, EOS VR Plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro to handle HEVC movies.

System requirements

To use this software, your computer has to meet the following system requirements.

1. Supported OSes
macOS 13, macOS 12, macOS 11, macOS 10.15, macOS 10.14

2. Supported Computers
PC with one of the above OS preinstalled (Upgraded machines not supported)

CPU;
- Intel Core i series (recommended Intel Core i7 or later)
RAM;
- 4GB or more (8GB or more recommended)
Storage;
- Installation: Min. 30 MB of available space

Setup Instructions

Please refer to the instructions below on how to download and install the software.
Exit all other applications when installing this software.

1. In the download page, input the serial number of the camera body printed on the label and download "hevcam1.0.0-installer-c009.dmg.zip". Save the "hevcam1.0.0-installer-c009.dmg.zip" file to a folder of your choice on your computer.
2. Double-click "hevcam1.0.0-installer-c009.dmg.zip". The file will be decompressed. After the file is decompressed, "hevcam1.0.0-installer-c009.dmg" will be created.
3. Double-click "hevcam1.0.0-installer-c009.dmg". A drive named "hevcam1.0.0-installer-c009" will automatically be created on the desktop.
4. Double-click the "hevcam1.0.0-installer-c009" inside the "hevcam1.0.0-installer-c009" drive. The Canon HEVC Activator (Canon EOS R5 C) installation will start.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Caution

- Please use Digital Photo Professional 4.16.0 or later.
- Please use EOS VR Utility 1.1 or later.
- Please use EOS VR Plugin 1.1 for Adobe Premiere Pro or later.
