Solution
1. The camera is not connected properly to the computer with the USB cable2. The camera is not recognized by EOS Utility (You can only click [Monitor Folder] on the main window of EOS Utility)
3. CameraWindow is being used
4. The camera is not recognized by Windows OS
If the camera cannot be connected to a computer, it may be due to one of the following reasons. Please confirm the following items in order.
1. The camera is not connected properly to the computer with the USB cable
To connect the camera to a computer, use the supplied USB cable. For details on how to connect the camera to a computer, please refer to Connecting the Camera to a Computer using a USB Cable (EOS 5DS / EOS 5DS R).
2. The camera is not recognized by EOS Utility (You can only click [Monitor Folder] on the main window of EOS Utility)
If the camera is not recognized by the supplied software, please try the possible solution methods listed below.
3. CameraWindow is being used
Your camera does not support CameraWindow. If you are using CameraWindow, please install and use the EOS Utility application supplied with the camera.
Caution
If your computer does not meet the System Requirements for EOS Utility, you can import images using a card slot on the computer or a commercially available card reader.

4. The camera is not recognized by Windows OS
If the descriptions in items 1 and 2 above do not apply to your situation, the camera may not have been recognized by your computer's OS. For information on possible solutions, please see the 'Related information' section below.
