Canon Australia named in the YouGov Technology Rankings 2021 in Australia

Canon Australia ranks seventh on a list of most-favoured consumer brands in the Technology sector, while Canon ranks eleventh globally.

Sydney, AUSTRALIA – 3 May 2021: Canon Australia, the nation’s most trusted camera¹ and most trusted home printer brand², has been recognised in YouGov's Technology Rankings 2021 as one of Australia’s top ten most-favoured consumer brands in the Technology sector³.

Canon Australia ranked seventh on YouGov’s BrandIndex platform; with rankings determined by an Impression score which measures whether a consumer has a positive or negative impression of a brand, calculated by taking the average over a 12 month period.

In 2020, Canon took great strides to provide Australians with useful, simple and accessible solutions to support them in whatever imaging needs they had. This included launching free EOS Webcam Utility software⁴ which transformed 42 Canon EOS interchangeable lens cameras and PowerShot cameras into high-quality webcams, enabling Australians to communicate and stream via 12 compatible communication platforms. Canon also extended its consumer printer range with four new units to help Australians work and create from home, in addition to extending its range of RF lenses to 19 - providing creators with more options to drive creative stimulation in lockdown.

In YouGov’s first annual global BrandIndex Technology Rankings Series, Canon also ranked eleventh in the Global Technology Rankings 2021, having placed in the top ten most-favoured consumer brands in the Technology sector across eight global markets. These global markets include, Finland (ranked 4th), France (ranked 5th), China (ranked 6th), Sweden (ranked 6th), Australia (ranked 7th), USA (ranked 8th), Japan (ranked 9th), and Denmark (ranked 10th)⁵.
