St Francis Xavier College: Reducing costs, reducing waste with Canon uniFLOW Printing

With print waste filling 3 x 200 litre bins every day at St Francis Xavier College Canberra, a more efficient, cost effective print environment was a high priority. Canon’s uniFLOW was the solution.

Bring on Tomorrow: College Reduces Waste & Cost, Prepares for Future with Canon uniFLOW

Like all schools, St Francis Xavier College Canberra has an evolving digital environment. But with print generated from 500 desktop computers, 110 staff laptops, and 800 student laptops, paper waste was massive and costs were out of control. What’s more, a BYOD policy was on the horizon.

Having researched the market, the College decided to implement Canon’s uniFLOW software, integrated with its existing Ricoh devices… it’s never looked back.

With uniFLOW ‘Follow Me Print’, jobs are printed on any device regardless of where they’re sent to or from. Controls prevent unauthorised colour print and because ID cards must be swiped before a job is printed, waste is minimised. uniFLOW’s reporting system allows the College to monitor, track and control print costs.

Now they’re ready for the future.
