Firmware Version 1.3.0 incorporates the following enhancements and fixes:
1. Adds support for RF-S10-18mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens.
2. Fixes minor issues.

If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.3.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Preparations for a firmware update:
After the downloaded compressed file (.zip) is extracted, a firmware folder is created.

*Extracting the downloaded file:
Right-click the zip file, and then select Extract All to extract the file.

In the folder you downloaded are the firmware (R6213000.FIR / file size: 74,640,672 bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully review the instructions to confirm your understanding of the firmware update procedures.

Changes in version 1.2.0:
1. Adds support for the RF5.2mm F2.8 L Dual Fisheye lens.
2. Adds enhanced security when transferring images via FTPS transfer.
3. Adds support for the Software Development Assistance Kit (EDSDK/CCAPI).
4. Fixes minor issues.

Changes in version 1.1.2:
1. Improves the stability of the touch operation control when the [Touch control] is set to [Sensitive].
2. Fixes an issue that may result in only one battery being charged when the BG-R10 Battery Grip is attached.

Changes in version 1.1.1:
1. Adds supports for the Speedlite EL-5.
2. Reduces start-up time when the camera’s Bluetooth setting is enabled.
3. Allows FTP/FTPS/SFTP transfers to be completed when using an IPv6 setting.
4. Fixes minor issues.
