Canon celebrates 27 consecutive years of being honoured at the iF Design Awards – the international label for outstanding design.
Canon PowerShot ZOOM achieves top honours with iF Gold Product Design Award 2021, with an additional eight products recognised as iF Product Design Award Winners 2021.
Sydney, AUSTRALIA – 28 April 2021: Canon Australia, the nation’s most trusted camera1 and most trusted home printer brand1, is today celebrating the recognition of nine winning Canon Group product designs by the iF International Forum Design GmbH at the prestigious 2021 iF Design Awards.
In Canon’s 27th consecutive year of winning iF Design Awards, Canon’s PowerShot ZOOM telephoto-type camera received an iF Gold Product Design Award 2021 - the highest honour in the product category. A further eight Canon products were acknowledged as iF Product Design Award Winners 2021, including: Canon’s flagship EOS-1D X Mark III interchangeable lens DSLR; Canon’s revolutionary full-frame hybrid mirrorless EOS R5; Canon’s professional cinema EOS motion cameras, EOS C500 Mark II and EOS C300 Mark III; Canon’s new concept super-telephoto R Series lenses, RF 800mm f/11 IS STM and RF 600mm f/11 IS STM; and Canon’s PIXMA Mobile TR150 inkjet printer.
Canon’s 2021 award-winning products were selected by the iF jury of global designers and manufacturers as symbols of design excellence amongst 10,000 submissions from 60 countries.

By incorporating Canon's optical technology, super wide-angle shooting of up to 23 mm, which is 1.4 to 2 times wider than that of conventional products, is realized. What used to require multiple scans in the past, such as of the retina and blood vessels, is now possible with a single scan, making early discovery of various diseases easier. By shaping the eyepiece so that it is pared down to the fullest extent, Canon contributes to an increased peace of mind for the patient and operability for the doctor.”
