Canon PowerShoot ZOOM: iF GOLD AWARD 2021
“The PowerShot ZOOM is a pocket-sized telescopic digital camera for people who want to observe and shoot subjects that are far away. Conventional telescopes and digital cameras are either focused on “observing” or “shooting”, and it is not possible to “capture definitive moments while continuing to observe”. With this product, it is now possible to readily enjoy shooting at a preferred timing while observing subjects that are far away, such as while watching sports, birds, children’s soccer practice, etc.”

“Canon’s flagship digital single-lens reflex camera supports professional photographers around the world who challenge the limits. The EOS-1D X Mark III is equipped with an optical viewfinder that is highly reliable even under harsh conditions. With a tough dust- and water-resistant structure, shutter durability of 500,000, and further evolution of operability for professionals, the EOS-1D X Mark III provides users with a fast, comfortable and high-image-quality shooting experience.”
Canon EOS-R5: iF DESIGN AWARD 2021
“The EOS R5 is a mirrorless single-lens camera that realizes superior operability and high reliability while supporting the diverse needs of professional and high-end photographers. It is equipped with innovation and basic performance that are of the highest levels in its class. This camera realizes 8K video shooting, the world’s first in this category, and supports ultra-high-quality image expression. It also comes with in-body image stabilization that works in concert with the RF lens to provide up to 8 stops of protection against camera shake.”
Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM and RF 600mm f/11 IS STM: iF DESIGN AWARD 2021
“These are compact, lightweight and reasonably priced super-telephoto RF lenses that guide users who experienced difficulty with super-telephoto shooting in the past, due to the impression that it was only for professionals. Thanks to a significant size reduction through the use of original DO lenses, high-image-quality expression and AF with an F11 aperture are now possible. Furthermore, these lenses are highly storable and manoeuvrable thanks to a collapsible structure.”
Canon EOS C500 Mark II and EOS C300 Mark III: iF DESIGN AWARD 2021
“The EOS C500 Mark II/EOS C300 Mark III are digital cinema cameras that combine high-quality imaging and compact body size. In recent years, digital cinema cameras have come to be used not only for movies and TV dramas but also for broadcasting and newsgathering. To support such a wide variety of uses, a cubic-shaped modular design is employed. Increased freedom of visual expression is made possible through various shooting styles, such as drone shooting, handheld shooting, and shoulder-mounted shooting.”
Canon PIXMA Mobile TR150: iF DESIGN AWARD 2021
“The PIXMA TR150 is a mobile printer for business persons active outside the office, for use such as in business negotiations for in-store and outside sales, as well as for vehicles in the transport industry, and during in-home medical visits. Small and lightweight, this printer can be easily carried, and provides high-speed and high-image-quality printouts anywhere. It supports a flexible work style that lets you choose when and where to use it.”
8X20 IS / 10X20 IS binoculars: iF DESIGN AWARD 2021
“These compact and lightweight binoculars fit even into small bags, making them perfect for concerts. While conventional binoculars with image stabilization tended to be “large, heavy and blurry,” Canon pursued a design that allows users to concentrate on watching, through clear operability and a reduction of physical burden during long periods of use. They also realized a natural sense of hold that takes into consideration different-sized hands and holding patterns.”
OCT-S1 -Optical coherence tomography: iF DESIGN AWARD 2021
“The OCT-S1 is an optical coherence tomography (OCT), which is used at university hospitals and advanced ophthalmic medical facilities. By incorporating Canon's optical technology, super wide-angle shooting of up to 23 mm, which is 1.4 to 2 times wider than that of conventional products, is realized. What used to require multiple scans in the past, such as of the retina and blood vessels, is now possible with a single scan, making early discovery of various diseases easier. By shaping the eyepiece so that it is pared down to the fullest extent, Canon contributes to an increased peace of mind for the patient and operability for the doctor.”
